I’m Cindy Dowsett, a registered Doctor of Acupuncture based in Calgary, AB. I’ve been offering acupuncture and Chinese medicine care since 2011 and am passionate about tailoring treatments to fit the unique needs of each patient. My journey began with a background in Psychology and health sciences at the University of Calgary, and I later expanded my studies to Chinese Medicine in Victoria, B.C. After completing my acupuncture diploma, I returned to Calgary to finish my Doctorate, including clinical hours at the Mian Yang TCM Hospital in China.
As a mother of two, I understand the challenges of managing a busy life, which is why I welcome you to bring your children to appointments. They can stay with you during your treatment, and often want to receive acupuncture themselves! I even offer needle-free options for kids, if needed, to make the experience comfortable for everyone.
When I am not in my clinic, you can find me at the rink watching my kids play hockey, or climbing, biking, or hiking in the mountains with my old english sheep dog.
